UV CABINET-SIP

Social Innovation Project ( SIP ) is a platform for the students to help the people through technological means.

The students brainstorm regularly to understand the problem given by the organization. Once having arrived at a solution with the help of the industrial techniques and through guidance from the mentor, students build a prototype.

Based on our social visit,we focused on hygiene as the major problem and came up with the product -“UV Cabinet”.

Our product is a cabinet in which the slit acts as a door for opening/closing of the bin where the gloves/masks or things of sudden use can kept inside for sterilization and a main case where this space can be used to store medical instruments and then keep for sanitation. Here, this space can be arranged in any way by adding or removing the slots and thereby making it user friendly.A UV light bulb will be fitted inside the cabinet through which the instruments or the clothing required by a medical expertise can be sanitized easily. The source for the UV bulb will be through solar and also through normal batteries.

Through our product,we can help doctors save their precious time spent on the traditional method of sanitation and provide a hygiene environment around a patient. This will help them to store the materials in a more hygienic and in a efficient way.
